The wireless handset industry was rocked a couple weeks ago when respected 
cryptologists from the Technion in Israel announced a significantly faster 
attack on GSM ciphers than had previously been known. The paper describing 
the attack was publicly presented at Crypto 2003, a symposium for crypto 
researchers held yearly in Santa Barbara, California. However, it was 
difficult to find the paper online.


That is, until now. John Young over at Cryptome has this mirror of the Barkan,
