MDK V5.10 Lab for the STM32F4 Discovery Board

This hands-on lab demonstrates various examples with the STMicroelectronics Cortex-M4 processor and Keil uVision. The Keil Blinky examples activating LEDs with and without Keil RTX RTOS and a DSP example are included with your MDK-ARM installation. The examples may be downloaded from this web page using the link below. All examples are compliant to Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS v3.0). Serial Wire Viewer trace, memory reads and writes and the RTX Kernel Awareness Viewer are shown.

An STMicroelectronics STM32F4-Discovery board and USB A to miniB cable are needed.

You may also use an STMicroelectronics STM32F401C-DISCO board with this lab by reducing the CPU clock speed in each uVision project from 168MHz to 84MHz. See Page 3 of APNT_230.PDF for more information.

If you are using MDK 4.xx:

  • The lab and attached examples in this Application Note are tailored to work with Version 5.10 (or later) of the MDK-ARM tools. If you are using V4.xx of the MDK-ARM tools, please use the lab and examples found at Applications Note 261.

For more information regarding these files, see APNT_230.PDF (a.k.a. Discovery_M4_LAB.PDF).
